On 4 January, the KNLA and PDF terrorists blew up No. (4/114) Kwin Chaung Bridge, located on the Yangon-Mandalay old road about 3,000 meters south of Kanyunt Kwin in Phyu Township of Bago Region. As a result of the explosion, a 60 ft long section of the bridge collapsed, causing a significant disruption to transportation access.
With the intention of triggering utter devastation, PDF terrorists, under the guidance of NUG, blow up state-owned and private infrastructure, non-military targets of public properties, roads and bridges which are being used for public transportation for no reasons. In this regard, it makes difficulties for the interest of the public and transportation. Therefore, the entire population is disgusted by their acts of terrorism.
Officials from the road/bridge Department are currently engaged in swift repair efforts to restore the damaged bridge. Meanwhile, security forces are carrying out a counter-terrorism operation in response to the incident, it is reported.
