Ceremony to Enshrine Religious Objects into Upper Reliquary and Hoist Golden Umbrella atop Myodaw Hteikpan Mingala Pagoda Held in conjunction with Consecration Ceremony

A ceremony to enshrine religious objects into the upper reliquary and hoist a golden umbrella atop Myodaw Hteikpan Mingala Pagoda took place in conjunction with the consecration in the precinct of Pali Tekkatho Mingala Zeyon Monastery in Pyinmana of Nay Pyi Taw on 2 January.

The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, SAC Joint-Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and wife, council members and wives, Union-level dignitaries, Union ministers and wives, the chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council and wife, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and wives, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, well-wishers, invited guests, religious associations and locals.

First, the ceremony commenced as per the agenda, and then the SAC Chairman Prime Minister led by Pali Sayadaw conveyed the bejewelled diamond orb and the pennant-shaped vane by the decorated float to the site in front of the Maha Mingala pavilion at the auspicious time. Later, the Senior General and party offered day meals to members of the Sangha.
