Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo Delivers a Speech at Meeting 2/2023 of Central Committee on Intellectual Property Rights

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo, who is in the capacity of the Chairman of the Central Committee on Intellectual Property Rights, attended the meeting 2/2023 of the central committee that was held at Nyilarkhan Hall of the Ministry of Commerce in Nay Pyi Taw on 1 January and delivered a remark.

Also present at the meeting were Union Minister for Commerce Vice-Chair U Tun Ohn of the Central Committee, committee members deputy ministers, permanent-secretaries, directors-general, officials and invited guests.

During the meeting, Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo delivered a remak as follows:

  • Myanmar is actively participating in the ASEAN IPR Action Plan and so all should make efforts to be a leading country in developing the regional IP actions.
  • Enacting the copyright laws will be beneficial to develop the State economy, strengthen the IP protection system for entrepreneurs, develop foreign investment and human resources, new job opportunities, and improve the manufacturing sector by transferring high technologies.

Afterward, those present at the meeting made sector-wise discussions and then Chairman of the Central Committee Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister delivered a concluding remark, following the meeting ended.
