Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw attended the 11th China-ASEAN Technology Transfer and Cooperation Conference held in Nanning, the People’s Republic of China on 13 July.
Ministers of Science and Technology from People’s Republic of China, Cambodia, Malaysia and Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw gave speeches at the forum. Afterwards, he attended the opening ceremony of the “2023 China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition”.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister observed artificial intelligence-AI technologies and digital economy technologies at the Information Hub and proceeded to Nanning Transportation Vocational School and viewed the teaching and learning activities of practical teaching in workshops and labs.
The Union Minister arrived at Nanning, the People’s Republic of China on 12 July. He attended the dinner hosted by Guangxi Autonomous Region Governor Mr. Lan Tiani, along with Ministers of Science and Technology from the People’s Republic of China and ASEAN countries. In meeting with Minister of Science and Technology Mr. Wang Zhigang, the two ministers cordially exchanged views on cooperation in the field of science and technology between the two countries, the sending of scholars, technology transfer, research cooperation, the establishment of the Myanmar Digital Economy Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre, courses on food technology, curriculum schemes, teaching methods and obtaining international certification for food laboratories.
