The Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and officials, paid homage to Lawkananda Pagoda, prestige of Sittwe in Rakhine State on 11 July and offered Waso robes, rice and offerings to the Presiding Patron of Nandayama Pariyatti Buddhist Learning Centre.
Afterwards, the Senior General and party proceeded to ancient historic U Ye Kyaw Thu monastery in Sittwe, they paid homage and donated offertories and cash for nine prerequisites to abbot Bhaddanta Jotipala. They then supplicated the necessary repair plan for damaged buildings caused by the recent storm.
Later, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and party viewed round the loss and damage of the Thakyamuni Phayagyi ordination hall in the precinct of the monastery and instructed officials to repair the damaged buildings in original works, and to take other necessary measures.
