Representing Myanmar in the SEAMEO Singapore Student Challenge (SSSC-2023), students from No 1 Basic Education High School in Dagon township achieved remarkable success by winning the second prize among the 10 participating ASEAN countries. The competition was organized by SEAMEO members in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Singapore and the Singapore Department of Science. The triumphant students returned to Yangon on 8 July.
Chosen from among the exceptional students aged 13-15, who demonstrated excellence in both English and other subjects, they were among the ten remarkable schools representing Basic High Schools and Middle Schools from various states and regions.
The SEAMEO Singapore Student Challenge (SSSC-2023) took place in Singapore from 5 to 6 July. In the Project Presentation section, focusing on the theme of “Good Health and Well-Being Practices in School Environment,” the Myanmar students claimed the second prize. Indonesia was awarded the first prize, while the third prize went to the Philippines, it is reported.
