Efforts made to Increase Exports in the Fiscal Year of 2023-2024

In the tenure of State Administration Council Government, efforts are being made to increase exports via border trade posts and regular trade routes. In this regard;

During a week from 2 to 8 December, Myanmar earned the following foreign incomes;

  • USD 54.28 million from the export of agro-products.
  • USD 0.177 million from the export of animal products.
  • USD 18.049 million from the export of fishery products.
  • USD 4.379 million from the export of mineral products.
  • USD 1.002 million from the export of forestry products.
  • USD 140.893 million from the export of CMP products.
  • USD 2.406 million from the export of other products, totaling USD 221.154 million.

Myanmar makes most exports to Thailand, China, Japan, India, U.S., Germany, Spain, Poland, ROK and Britain.

Relevant departments, organizations and entrepreneurs are urged to make efforts for the increase of trade with current trade partners; export new products and find new trade partners. They are also urged to implement public-private sector in a collaboration manner for the sake of broader export of Myanma products to global markets, it is reported.
