State Administration Council Information Team Leader Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun Makes Clarifications on the Current Situation in Myanmar

The State Administration Council (SAC) Information Team Leader Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun made clarifications on the ongoing situation in the country on 11 and 12 December as follows;

• Western nations and media backed by western countries state that people need not have concern about dialogues between the National Solidarity and Peace Making Negotiation Committee and representatives from MNDAA, TNLA and AA groups. They again broadcast the news as if MNDAA, TNLA and AA groups will fight together with the entire population.
• Such media outlets are making various instigations because they bear grudge against cease-fire matter, reduction of conflict and stable socio-economic matters.  
• KNLA and PDF terrorists launched drone attacks on the 230 KV electrical substation in Thingan Nyinaung and they also attacked Mandalay-Yangon passenger train with the use of time-bomb. They wilfully carried out such terrorist acts to inflict suffering on socio-economic status of the people and to disturb peace and stability in the area.
• Armed clashes are breaking out in Namsang, Namkham and 105 mile of northern Shan state, in Mrauk-U of Rakhine State, Nyaungbintha police station in Pyu of Bago Region, at state police station in Kayah State as well as in Tigyaing and Khampat of Sagaing Region.
• TNLA and AA terrorist groups are creating and spreading fabrication and rumours via social media platforms that they fought back the Tatmadaw because they were attacked.

As regards IDPs, special efforts will be made for relocation, education and healthcare works. Further, utmost efforts will be made for betterment and stability of peoples’ socio-economic status after requirement will be fulfilled, it is reported.
