Unofficial and subversive media outlets have been creating and spreading rumours and fabricated news all round to create instability and unrest across the country, sow discord between the Tatmadaw and the people, and using various ways to misunderstand the Tatmadaw in the international arena.
- The news that states security personnel raid the Pachi village in Sagaing and killed three local residents is just an allegation. In reality, security personnel fought PDF terrorists near the village but they did not launch any raid and any arson attack at all.
- The news that states local PDFs saved four responsible persons with 35 children of orphanage kept as hostages is just distorted information. In reality, the Tatmadaw never abducts any civilian as it always safeguards lives and property of the people.
- The news that states security personnel raid the Nyin Maw village in Launglon Township and forcibly took K50 million worth of property of the people is an allegation. In reality, the Tatmadaw does not conduct security duty around the village.
- The news that states 45 ward/village administrators in Hinthada Township of Ayeyawady Region submitted applications to resign from the jobs but their applications were not allowed is just a vague rumour. In reality, such incident does not happen at all.
Unofficial and subversive media are wilfully spreading such rumors and fake news on social media platforms in order to disturb peace and stability of the state and give a misleading impression between the people and the Tatmadaw, it is reported.
