Seizures of Narcotic Drugs in November 2023

Members of anti-narcotic task force from Ministry of Home Affairs joining hands together with security personnel are putting stress on anti-narcotic measures, and the seizures of narcotic drugs in November 2023 were as follows:

• From 1 to 30 November, a total of 615 drug-related offenders including 531 males and 84 females were arrested along with a total of K157,420.213 million (over US$ 74.962 million) worth of narcotic drugs which are 86.1 kg of opium, 82.3 kg of heroin, 38,286,996 stimulant tablets, 0.02 kg of broken stimulant tablets, 2,636.6 kg of ICE, 63.8 kg of marijuana, 0.1 kg of opium oil, 6 kg of brown opium, 30.2 kg of opium leaves, 340.9 kg of opium powder, 2 liters of opium liquid, 4,778 Ecstasy tablets, 4 bottles of diazepam, 378,300 capsules of tramadol, 2,300.3 kg of Ketamine, 125 capsules of Happy-5, 16.9 kg of Happy Water, 0.5 liters of Methadone, 20 liters of cough syrup, 1,275 kg of caffeine, 720 liters of Sulfuric Acid, 360 liters of Hydrochloric Acid, 125 kg of Ammonium Chloride, 20 kilos of bone charcoal, 11,520 liters of Ethyl Acetate, 50 kilos of Calcium Carbonate, 1 kg of Vanillin, 120 kg of potassium, 13,680 liters of Benzene, 15,750 liters of Bismuth(III) Oxide, 21 liters of liquid scents and 0.45 kg of lacquer powder were seized.

The arrested drug-related offenders were handed over to the relevant police stations and punitive actions are being taken against them in accordance with the law. Members of anti-narcotic drugs task force, joining hands with security force members, are making further efforts to identify and arrest drug-related offenders for the eradication of narcotic drugs.
