The Central Committee on Ensuring Smooth Flow of Trade and Goods took place its 2/2023 Coordination Meeting on 11 December, attended by the Member of the State Administration Council (SAC) Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Committee.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee, General Mya Tun Oo said as follows:
- It is necessary to supervise the repatriation of export earnings from export sector in accordance with fixed procedures, and it will prioritize the import of raw materials for the industrial zones that produce export products.
- Also, it focused on practical measures for fuel import, storage, and distribution sectors and emphasis is placed on ensuring standard quality for imported fuel oil and stable prices for the consumers. As such, systematic arrangements are being made to ensure adequate fuel at the fuel stations across the country and supply fuel stocks in timely manner. On the other hand, it also supervises to combat illegal fuel trade.
- Similarly, adequate cooking oil was systematically distributed to the regions and states, including Nay Pyi Taw, to ensure a stable market and prices. The plans are underway to receive the export earnings from the remaining companies fully.
The meeting was attended by the members of the central committee and special guests.
