Terrorists Blow up Reinforced Concrete Bridge in Oktwin Township

With an intention to disrupt local road connections, terrorists of political extremist are committing acts of sabotages such as setting fire to and blowing up roads and bridges that are being used for public transportation. In the evening of 8 December, terrorists blew up Tha-yat-seik reinforced concrete bridge between 2 and 3 furlongs at Mile 142 of the Yangon-Mandalay Highway near Htan-kone (South) village of Oktwin Township of Bago region. The explosion caused about 12 feet long of the rear side of the 38 feet wide concrete bridge collapsed.

With the intention of triggering utter devastation, PDF terrorists, under the guidance of NUG, blow up state-owned and private infrastructure, non-military targets of public properties, roads and bridges which are being used for public transportation for no reasons. In this regard, it makes difficulties for the interest of the public and transportation. Therefore, the entire population is disgusted by their acts of terrorism.

The relevant officials are repairing the bridge that was damaged by the terrorists in the above-mentioned incident, and the security forces are taking necessary measures to take action against those who blew up the bridge and to ensure peace and stability in the area, it is reported.
