People Can Purchase Fuel Oil as It is Sufficient at Home

As fuel oil from fuel stations from Thaketa and Hlaingtthaya townships, including Thilawa port terminals, have been distributed day and night to other filling stations in  regions/states. In this regard;

  • On 6 December, 10 foreign tankers and another three tankers are waiting at the mouth of the sea and jetties at Thilawa port respectively, and arrangements are being made to distribute it on a timely manner.
  • On 7 December, efforrts are being made to distribute fuel oil to other filling stations in  regions/states, using bowsers. Accordingly, an excess of more than 220,000 gallons of 92 Ron, 110,000 gallons of 95 Ron, 120,000 gallons of diesel and 230,000 gallons of premium diesel have been distributed to those filling stations in addition to previous distribution.

Although the people have concerns over fuel oil due to vague rumors, there may be no fuel shortage, considering the remaining fuel oil at home as well as the arrival of foreign tankers at the port. So, it is announced that people can purchase required fuel as usual and they need not to make panic buying.
