The State Administration Council (SAC) Information Team Leader Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun provided explanations on the ongoing situation in the country as follows –
- Officers and other ranks from the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) took study tours around the significant places in Yangon; played a friendly basketball match with officers and other ranks from the Myanmar Navy at the Thanlyin cantonment stadium; and conducted reciprocal studies of navy vessels.
- Thanks to the efforts of peace advocates and peace negotiators, another 193 captured tutors and students from Loikaw University were released on 29 November, and at present, 11 others remain in the custody of the insurgents.
- There were engagements at Namkhan, Tamoenye, the Muse (105) mile trade post, near the toll plaza at Kyaukmae town and Laukkai areas in the northeastern part of Shan state. Similarly, Combined armed groups of KIA and PDF terrorists launched attacks on the Taze police station in the Sagaing region. Moreover, clashes broke out at the state police station and a high school in Loikaw of Kayah State.
- The residents of Kyaukme township noticed a terrible foul smell when they returned home after leaving the town to avoid violent clashes. When they attempted to find out the reason, they found many dead bodies in uniforms with TNLA, KIA, MNDAA and PDF badges near the Chinese cemetery of the town and had to remove the bodies with the help of security forces.
- Similarly, many other dead bodies in the same uniforms were also spotted on the downward road of Maung Phone Mountain.
- Regarding the armed conflicts in the northeastern part of Shan State, subversive media and others receiving assistance from Western countries are making incitements to ignite conflicts and misunderstandings between Myanmar and China.
- The incitements and rumours of subversives from abroad and media outlets supported by Western countries have inflicted a large number of deaths in Myanmar.
- EAOs of RCSS and SSPP/SSA held a ceasefire between them. The Tatmadaw has always attempted to negotiate between them to stop any conflict and ensure no further violent clashes.
- The terrorists/insurgents are using public buildings, and education and health facilities as covers in attacking the Tatmadaw. When the Tatmadaw attacked them back, they were creating rumours, fake news and misinformation implying that the Tatmadaw was attacking the non-military targets of schools and hospitals.
- According to military-related laws and regulations, in the case when the enemy carries out a shooting attack from a place which is regarded as a public building, the building will alternatively be presumed as a military target.
TNLA, AA and MNDAA destructionists have carried out acts of vandalism and violence that harm lives and properties of the local Shan communities along Mandalay-Muse Union Highway following the Shan State (north). Moreover, they are attacking against the Tatmadaw by staying in the houses of the Shan people. Therefore, the entire people must fight against such acts of vandalism and terrorism by joining hands with the Tatmadaw.
