Union Ministers Meet Russian Ambassador to Myanmar who had Completed his Tour of Duties

Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han and Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism received the Russian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Dr. Nikolay Listopadov, who had completed his tour of duties, at the parlours of the respective ministries on 27 June.

• During the meeting with Union Minister for Electric Power, they shared their opinions regarding matters on continued cooperation with Russia in the development of Myanmar’s electricity sector, cooperation in solar energy, hydropower and wind power sectors in Myanmar, opportunities of cooperation with local companies in electrical projects in Myanmar and multi-sectoral cooperation between the two countries.
• During the meeting with Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism, they friendly exchanged views on continued cooperation in tourism industry, investment in tourism industry of the two countries, potentials and opportunities of Myanmar’s tourism industry, holding forums and online meetings on tourism industry and the running of chartered flights between the two countries.

Also present at the meetings were deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, directors-general and officials, it is reported.
