Military aircraft/helicopters and naval vessels are being used to deliver daily aids, relief materials and supplies to locals in Sittwe township of Rakhine state affected by the Cyclone Mocha. On 27 June, a total weight of 3.382 tonnes including basic foodstuffs was delivered by military aircraft.
On 24 June, UMS Myitkyina from Myanmar Navy transported 466.5 tonnes of basic foodstuffs to Sittwe.
Military aircraft/helicopters are being used to deliver aids, relief materials and supplies to the areas affected by the Cyclone Mocha in a timely manner. From 15 May to 27 June, a total weight of 539.6 tonnes of relief materials and 3,422 people including military personnel and departmental staff who were to participate in rehabilitation activities were conveyed by military aircraft. As military aircraft/helicopters have been continuing to deliver the relief aids at the airports to the storm-hit areas, concerned authorities received the said relief supplies.
