Military aircraft/helicopters and naval vessels are being used to deliver aids, relief materials and supplies to locals in Sittwe township of Rakhine state affected by the Cyclone Mocha. From 7 to 13 June, a total weight of 26.8 tonnes including basic foodstuffs and relief items were delivered by military aircraft.
On 13 June, a total weight of 5,662 tonnes including foodstuffs, construction materials and relief items were delivered by Thuriya Sandar Win Company-owned MV Royal Venus vessel and MV Weru Pack Kha vessel.
Military aircraft/helicopters are being used to deliver aids, relief materials and supplies to locals affected by the Cyclone Mocha in a timely manner. From 15 May to 13 June, a total weight of 503.9 tonnes of relief materials and 3,291 people including military personnel and departmental staff who were to participate in rehabilitation activities, were conveyed by military aircraft. Concerned authorities received relief supplies transported by military aircrafts/helicopters and naval vessels, and they have been making arrangements to transport the supplies to storm-hit towns and villages, it is reported.
