On 12 June, the People’s Republic of China donated 10,000 mosquito-nets and 10,000 blankets worth of 97,500 USD to the cyclone-hit victims in the areas where damage and loss occurred due to the Cyclone Mocha for first batch. Mr. Chen Hai, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, handed over the items to Chairman of the Yangon Region Natural Disaster Management Committee Yangon Region Chief Minister.
The Government is upholding the policy of ‘No one is left behind’ in undertaking the tasks of emergency responses and rehabilitation activities. The relief and rehabilitation activities are collectively carried out with the timely cooperation of Ministries, region/state governments under the guidance of heads of the State, supervision of National Disaster Management Committee, it is reported.
