International Community Delivers Rescue Supplies to Myanmar

International organization and countries are delivering relief items and foodstuffs to be used in the relief and rehabilitation activities for the cyclone-hit victims in the areas where damage and loss occurred due to the Cyclone Mocha as follows –

  • On 5 June, a Bangladesh Navy frigate Somudra Joy (F-28) carrying a total weight of 120 tonnes of relief supplies and foodstuffs arrived at Yangon to give humanitarian aids for the victims of MOCHA cyclonic storm in Myanmar.

The relief items were sent from Bangladesh countries to assist those affected by Cyclone Mocha. The Government is upholding the policy of ‘No one is left behind’ in undertaking the tasks of emergency responses and rehabilitation activities. The relief and rehabilitation activities are collectively carried out with the timely cooperation of Ministries, region/state governments under the guidance of heads of the State, supervision of National Disaster Management Committee and also with the cooperation of international organizations including AHA Centre.
