Peace Talks Held between NSPNC and MNDAA, TNLA and AA

The National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) had discussion with delegations of MNDAA, TNLA and AA at Oriental hotels in Mongla, Shan State (East) on 1 and 2 June. The meeting was attended by SAC Member Union Minister at the Union Government Office NSPNC Chair Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Secretary, departmental officials and representatives from Myanmar National Truth and Justice Party (MNTJP/ MNDAA), Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF/TNLA) and United League of Arakan (ULA/AA).

During the meeting, they friendly and cordially discussed the matters pertaining to strengthening the multiparty democratic political system in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the relevant matter of building a union based on democracy and federalism, which is the desired goal of all ethnic people, working together for the peace and development of the Union, and trust-building with ethnic armed organizations. They continued negotiation on unfinished measures on the first day and they will meet again at an opportune time, it is reported.
