Ministry of Immigration and Population will conduct pilot census in 20 townships across Myanmar in October,2023.
Ministry of Immigration and Population is planning to conduct 2024 Population and Housing Census after 2014 Census. Pilot census will be conducted in 20 townships on 1st October to know the problems for designated questions and processes in census by setting 100 designated areas. During the 2024 population and housing census, the enumerators will collect door by door by using Computer Assisted Personal Interviews (CAPI)-installed Mobile Tablets. The collection of population and housing census is a must to acquire the accurate figures of population which is one of the most crucial factors among the statistics used basically in implementing policies and setting projects to manage all-round sectors for the nation including social status, economic status, education status and health status, it is reported.
