As basic education schools began their respective classes for the academic year of 2023-2024 on 1st June, a total of 6,229,337 students are studying at basic education schools, monastery education schools and private schools in regions and states across the nation including Nay Pyi Taw council area.
Officials of Ministry of Education and relevant organizations have made preparatory works, such as placing desks and chairs in classrooms in line with the Covid-19 protocols, setting systematic timetables, making arrangement of school buses and doing for good appearance of schools.
Security forces, township administration teams, community-based security teams are carrying out necessary work for road safety, security and peaceful learning of teachers, students and parents.
Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe, Chief ministers of regions/states and commanders of relevant regional military commands and officials as well as departemntal officials cordially met and spoke encouraging words to teachers and stuents, it is reported.
