Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by SAC Joint Secretary, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture, Mandalay Region Chief Minister, Commander-in-Chief (Navy), Commander-in-Chief (Air), senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Central Command commander and officials, inspected the maintenance of Mya Nan San Kyaw Golden Palace in Mandalay on 26 May.
First, the Senior General and party viewed the whole Golden Palace including the Glass Palace, Baungdaw Hall, conference halls, glass hall and central palace hall. Then, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture and officials reported on the maintenance of the whole Golden Palace. In response to the reports, the Senior General highlighted the following points:
- Mya Nan San Kyaw Golden Palace is unlike other palaces, which are full of records about its structure and location.
- Since the colonial era, the palace has had a complete set of domestic and foreign records and references, so all need to do their best to match the strong historical evidence and records.
- There is a need to review the records of keeping ancient utensils and replicas in the rooms of the halls of the palace.
- Some utensils including the throne need to be surrounded by glass.
- Special care is necessary for its maintenance because the palace is full of ancient architectural works. Maintenance of the palace until it becomes neat and tidy will attract more visitors
Afterwards, the Prime Minister and party viewed the documentary photographs of the Palace and the displays of royal accessories and gave guidance on necessary matters, it is reported.
