The meeting between the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights -AICHR and the Southeast Asia National Human Rights Forum-SEANF was held in a hybrid format on Bali Island in Indonesia on 24 May.
Representatives from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Chairman of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission and members, Deputy Director-General and Director attended the meeting virtually and the representatives from Timor-Leste and AICHR in person.
The AICHR Indonesia and the Thai National Human Rights Commission, the alternate chair of SEANF, gave opening speeches at the meeting. In the discussion, the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission chairperson said that they would participate much more than before in the future cooperation between AICHR and SEANF presented by the Malaysian Human Rights Commission, it is reported.
