Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by members of his entourage, the Chief Minister of Yangon Region, the Commander of Yangon Command and officials, inspected agriculture and livestock farms in Nyaung Hna Pin Agriculture and Livestock Special Zone on 20 May.
Firstly, at the meeting hall of the special zone, officials briefed the agriculture and livestock tasks being taken in parts in the Nyaung Hna Pin Agriculture and Livestock Special Zone.
Regarding the reports, the Senior General gave instructions as follows –
- Officials needed to systematically supervise to make sure that plots granted to operate agriculture and livestock farming will be fully used for that business and not to use plots unrelated to agriculture and livestock farming.
- Private businessmen need to truly operate agriculture and livestock farming businesses on the plots granted by the State for agriculture and livestock farming in accordance with the rules and regulations.
- In running agricultural businesses, it is necessary to apply modern methods rather than traditional ones to be able to fully and compactly operate the businesses for products.
Afterwards, the Senior General and party arrived at Green Light Farm where an official briefed on poultry and fish farming, cultivation of perennial crops, fingerling farming and cultivation of seedling.
Regarding the report, the Senior General said it is necessary to produce animal feed for livestock breeding with the use of agricultural products in the region and sufficiently produce chicks in the region. It is also necessary to operate agriculture and livestock farming in accordance with the international standards.
Then, the Senior General and party took a tour of the farm, had questions on the reports by officials and gave suggestions. Later, the Senior General and party inspected a private poultry farm operated with a modern breeding system and the goat and agriculture farms operated with the arrangement of the Yangon Region Government and gave instructions to officials. The Senior General and party also encouraged locals selling vegetables at the Vegetable Wholesale Market No (2).
