The Tatmadaw joining hands with departmental staff, civil societies and local residents have been conducting rehabilitation measures in natural disaster-affected regions, and the senior military officers were assigned duties for 14 Townships in Rakhine State and 4 Townships in Chin State where the necessary assistance are specially required, out of 17 Townships in Rakhine State and 4 in Chin State which have been declared as natural disaster-affected regions.
On 18 May, the Office of the State Administration Council assigned a special duty to the senior military officers to supervise the departmental staff and local security force members together with the members from the General Administration Department in relevant townships for ensuring the effective and quick measures of relief, rescue and rehabilitation in above-mentioned storm-hit regions.
