Ms. Noriko Takagi, Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to Myanmar, paid a courtesy call and presented her Credentials to U Than Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw on 16 May.
Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing received UNHCR Representative to Myanmar at the Ministry of International Cooperation in Nay Pyi Taw. During the meeting, they discussed the matters relating to the importance of collaboration between UN agencies and the Government of Myanmar for the provision of humanitarian assistance to the affected population and the government’s efforts on repatriation and resettlement of displaced persons from Rakhine, it is reported.
