Due to the landfall and impacts of Cyclone Mocha, which was extremely powerful on 14 May, there occurred road-blockage with fallen trees and debris and road-damage by water erosion and toppling of trees and lampposts in Rakhine state, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, Yangon region, Bago region, Magway region and Ayeyarady region.
Relevant departmental officials joining hands together with the readily-organized philanthropic civil organizations are conducting rescue activities in regions and states where damages occurred due to the cyclone. Moreover, the relevant officials and social organizations are evacuating the victims to safe places, and also fulfilling the needs of these areas, it is reported.
