Notice on Licence Applications for illegally Owned Arms and Munitions

1. It is learnt that people illegally carry arms and ammunition using various ways for their concerns about personal security due to the lethal attacks of terrorists on innocent people today. Although the original intention is for personal security, one’s mind can change at any time when in possession of arms and munitions. Moreover, it can cause firearm misuse for possessing illegally and it is not in conformity with the law. In order to terminate the holding of arms and munitions illegally and prevent the firearm misue, the State Administration Council will manage to grant licences systematically as per the policy of carrying arms and munitions.

2. In applying for the licence to carry arms and munition, applicants will not be asked how they get the gun, but they must apply for it together with the arms that they want to carry. Upon the applications, it will review as per the policy of carrying arms and munitions and licences will be granted to those who meet the specific requirements. Action will be taken against those who do not apply for licences together with arms and munitions during the fixed period.
