Maritime Youth and Air Youth Courses Opened for Students in Summer 2023

With the intents to develop the knowledge of new generation students during the summer holidays, spend their holidays efficiently, study the subjects that interest them and emerge new generation who are mastered in maritime and air skills and knowledge, Myanmar Navy inaugurated the courses of basic maritime youth course and advanced courses, while Myanmar Air Force, basic air youth courses (senior) and basic air youth courses (junior) simultaneously at respective townships on 24 April.

The maritime youth courses are opened with the aims to emerge outstanding youths who are interested in the maritime knowledge with good morality, well-disciplined and physically fit for the country; to make the youths aware the importance of the maritime transport in building the modernized country; and to nurture athletes who are outstanding in the sports of rowing and sailing. In his regard, No (1/2023) basic maritime youth course and No. (1/2023) advanced maritime youth course were simultaneously opened at respective maritime youth camps in the morning of 24 April with the total of 712 student trainees. The opening ceremonies were attended by the Chief Ministers from relevant regions/ states, Chief of Staff (Navy), commanders of relevant regional military commands, commanders of relevant naval commands, commanders of naval bases and officials.

Likewise, with the aims of improving the interest in aerospace science fields by studying the history of aeronautics, contributing to the State defence sector by acquiring the aeronautical knowledge, nurturing new generation youths with the right belief and  as well as human resources for building future Tatmadaw and the State, Myanmar Air Force provided the basic education students to attend the basic air youth course no. 1/2023 (senior level) and the basic air youth course no. 1/2023 (junior level) which were opened at the 17 training camps in respective townships with 680 trainees in total. The opening ceremonies of the respective courses were attended  by the chief minsters of respective regions and states, departmental concerned, commanders of respective commands, commanders of Air Base HQs and officials, it is reported.
