Union Ministers and Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw City Development Committee Receive the Delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, U Than Swe, received H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and Union Minister for International Cooperation, U Ko Ko Hlaing, and Mayor U Tin Oo Lwin, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw City Development Committee received Mrs. Pornpimol Kanchanalak, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand at the respective ministries on 21 April. At the meetings,

  • Union Minister for Foreign Affairs frankly discussed with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand about the matters pertaining to the further enhancement of the existing cordial relations and bilateral partnership, and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation especially in the arenas of trade and investment, combating illegal trade and other illegal activities in the border area, as well as peace and stability along the border and necessary assistance to Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand.
  • Union Minister for International Cooperation frankly discussed with Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand about the matters related to the areas of transport, tourism, energy, rural development and people-to-people connectivity as well as the provision of humanitarian assistance through the AHA Centre and further strengthening the existing bilateral ties and cooperation.
  • Mayor U Tin Oo Lwin, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw City Development Committee discussed with Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand about the production of electricity from waste materials in Nay Pyi Taw area.

The meetings were attended by the officials from respective ministries, it is reported.
