A Coordination Meeting Held with Responsible Officials from Power Plants, National Grid and Sub-stations Distributing Electric Power across Nation

A coordination meeting was held with the responsible officials from the power plants, national grid and sub-stations under the Ministry of Electric Power that are distributing electric power across the nation, at the Ministry’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw on 19 April.

During the meeting, Union Minister U Thaung Han discussed as follows:

• As the electricity access is very important for the development of the State’s economy, it is needed to carry out to generate electricity from the possible sources of energy with various investments in order to fulfil the need of electricity in the country.
• The plans are being carried out to manage power distribution process in its utmost efforts to balance between the supply and demand of electricity. Efforts are being made to achieve cent percent of electricity access by 2025.
• It is necessary to pay attention to ensure supply of electricity to the public at full voltage with the least of power losses in timely manner.

In the eveing, a dinner reception was held to honour the officers of power plants and sub-power stations for timely completion of repaired  work at the power grid and those who took part in current power distribution process during the 2022-2023 fiscal year as well as the dance troupe members representing the Ministry during the Thingyan Water Festival.
