Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing Meets and Delivers a Speech to Officers, other Ranks and Families from Cocogyun Military Station

The Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services together with his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Moe Aung and his wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung and his wife, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, and officials met the officers, other ranks and their families from Cocogyun Military Station at the station hall on 9 April. During the meeting, the Senior General stressed the following points:

  • Cocogyun region sees much progress rather than the past time. Hence, It needs to continue further development of Cocogyun region through united strength of the local people for serving interests of the region and local people.
  • The Myanmar traditional Thingyan Festival period must be passed happily and it is necessary to maintain the culture in a disciplined manner. They need to perform their duties dutifully while they also need to enjoy their holidays for their rest and recreation.
  • They have to give good education legacy to children and systematic supervise them in their childhood. Measures must be taken to ensure every school-age child to attend classes as usual and them to really complete the basic school education classes. Then, they will actually have basic education knowledge.
  • Afterwards, the Senior General wished the officers, other ranks and families physical and mental wellbeing and greater success in the auspicious occasion of the Myanmar Traditional New Year.

Then, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services presented foodstuffs for military personnel and families while the wife of the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, cash assistance for the station maternal and child welfare association through the commander of local naval base and wife. After the meeting, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and wife, and party splashed officers, other ranks and families hailing Myanmar Traditional Thingyan festival as part of warmly welcoming the New Year.

Later, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and party inspected the 1.66-acre cocoa farm No.1 and 3.34-acre farm No.2 operated by the local naval base on trials. They then inspected the 7th-mile turtle hatching farm and the turtle farm of local naval base. And the Senior General also inspected domestic cattle farm of the local naval base, and left necessary instructions on the reports presented by the officials respectively, it is reported.
