Tatmadaw special medical team including military specialists, doctors and nurses left Nay Pyi Taw on 3 April to provide healthcare services to local people from Sagaing region. On 4 April, they provided healthcare services to a total of 351 local people in Mingun village and surrounding villages of Sagaing township.
116 patients who need medical treatments, 40 patients who need surgical operations, 6 patients with obstetric/gynecologic diseases, nine patients with pediatric diseases ,26 orthopedic diseases, 14 patients with ENT related diseases, 111 patients with eye diseases and 23 patients with dental and oral diseases were given medical treatment. 22 eye patients underwent surgical operation by mobile eye-surgical unit. Moreover, diagnoses and treatments were also provided to 22 patients who need to take X-ray scans, 25 ultrasound scanning patients, 35 patients who need to receive laboratory tests, 35 cardiologic patients undergoing ECG procedures.
The patients who need to take medical treatment were sent to military hospitals and the officials encouraged them and coordinated with their necessary requirements, it is reported.
