KNDF/KNPP groups and PDF terrorists carried out unprovoked attack using small arms and heavy weapons on the village of Namneng in Pinlaung Township of Shan State (south) on 11 March. During the attack, the deaths of three Buddhist monks in the village monastery and 17 other unarmed local people in the Namneng village were reported.
In this regard, monks and local people, who oppose acts of terrorism, held a demonstration against KNDF/KNPP groups and PDF terrorists who had killed Pa’ O monks and people in the Pa’O National All-round Development ground located in Kangyi ward of Taunggyi City on 15 March.
They peacefully staged the demonstration by holding placards as well as posters and shouting the slogans, “We don’t want creation of war of aggression in Pa’ O self-administered zone,” “We don’t want killings of unarmed Pa’ O monks and people,” “We don’t want the media stating cover news,” “We don’t want terrorists who forcibly take property of people,” “We don’t want arson attacks of religious buildings and people’s houses,” “We don’t want the use of villages, houses and local people as a shield,” “Quick withdrawal of KNDF and PDF terrorists from Pa’ O self-administered zone – Our course,” “ Having peace and stability in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Pa’ O self-administered zone – Our course”, it is reported.
