Members of anti-narcotic task force from Ministry of Home Affairs joining hands together with security personnel are putting stress on anti-narcotic measures, and the seizures of narcotic drugs in February 2023 were as follows:
- From 1 to 28 February, a total of 684 drug-related offenders including 574 males and 110 females were arrested across the country. Along with them, a total of K183,413.7277 million ( over US$ 87.339 million) worth narcotic drugs: 21.245 kilos of opium; 125.623 kilos of heroin; 38,941,410 stimulant tablets; 0.1 kilos of stimulant pieces; 4,668.72 kilos of Ice (crystal meth); 56.852 kilos of marijuana; 0.039 kilos of low-quality opium; 1 kilo of concentrated opium; 247 kilos of brown poppy powder; 2.2 liters of opium liquid; 75.73 kilos of Kratom leaves; 67.58 kilos of Kratom powder; 196 Ecstasy tablets; 21 tramadol capsules; 6.562 kilos of Ketamine; 2.882 kilos of Happy Water; 0.24 liters of codeine; 4,550 kilos of caffeine; 4,6750 liters of Methylamine; 3,536 liters of Sulfuric Acid; 112,370 liters of Acetone; 68,510 litres of Toluence; 2,786 litres of Ammonium Nitrate; 750 liters of Ammonium Hydroxide; 10,000 kilos of Sodium Hydroxide; 9,500 kilos of Sodium Sulfate; 60 liters of Magnesium Sulfate; 95,540 liters of Ethyl Acetate; 600 liters of Ethyl 2-Benzyl Acetoacetate; 1,530 liters of Ethylbenzylamine; 57,800 liters of Methanol; 41,650 liters of Ethanol; 130 kilos of Vanillin; 9,010 liters of Dichloromethane; 80 liters of Dimethyl Methylphosphonate; 12,880 liters of Propionyl Chloride; 180 liters of mixture of Sulfuric Acid (10 Percent) and Canavanine Sulfate Monohydrate; 160 liters of Dyno AP Potassium Nitrate; 40,950 liters of Chloroform; 40,100 liters of Hydrogen Peroxide; 28,560 liters of Benzene; 34,740 liters of Benzyl Cyanide; 140 liters of Benzene D-Fructose 26-Diphosphate; 80 liters of Benzalkonium Chloride; 8,500 liters of Isopropyl Alcohol; 77,500 kilos of Caustic Soda; 36,280 liters of chemical liquid and 40 litres of scent were seized.
The arrested drug-related offenders were handed over to the relevant police stations and punitive actions are being taken against them in accordance with the law. Members of anti-narcotic drugs task force, joining hands with security force members, are making further efforts to identify and arrest drug-related offenders for the eradication of narcotic drugs.
