Myanmar delegation comprising seven representatives led by Anti-Corruption Commission Chair Dr. Htay Aung joined a seminar on “The Negative Effects of Corruption on the Successful Implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” with the lead of Economist Mr. Jerrery D. Sachs, organized by the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) through a hybrid format on 6 March.
During the seminar, the relevant persons discussed as follows:
- There are 17 goals of UN SDGs and 169 targets. In implementing the SDGs, it is necessary to implement in order to make the economic development and not to leave any organization and race behind and to conserve the environment.
- In doing so, it also needs the drafting of better effective plans, allocation of the adequate fund, and advice of experts.
A total of 122 representatives including Anti-Corruption Experts in the respective fields and alumni who attended the Anti-Corruption Master Programme and training courses opened by IACA attended the event.
