Opening Ceremony of Traditional Medicine Conference and Exhibition of Shanghai Cooperation Organization Held

     Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win attended the opening ceremony of the Traditional Medicine Conference and Exhibition of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization held in Guwahati, State of Assam in India on 3 March.

       During the ceremony, Union Minister highlighted the points as follows:

• Traditional medicine experts, experts from Drug Administration from member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, observer countries and partner countries will make exerted efforts in the all-round development of traditional medicines; especially the enhancement of collaborations for traditional medicine, economic relations, trading and investments in the traditional medicine sector, expanding traditional medicinal research, and ensuring quality, security and efficacy of traditional medicines.

      Delegates from eight member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, three observer countries, 13 partner countries, traditional medicine experts, experts from Drug Administration and businesspersons attended the conference and exhibition, it is reported.
