Massacres by NUG/PDFs who are Committing Crimes Against Humanity

I’ve accordingly written many articles presenting with strong evidence so that the people and international community can take heed that the actual perpetrators of political instabilities and a series of violent acts in Myanmar are the NUG terrorist group and the PDF terrorists instigated and mobilized by the group. In spite of that, some countries and international organizations are still acting dumb and engaging officially and unofficially with the terrorist NUG/PDFs and their accomplices.

Such activities are certainly supporting and abetting the terrorist groups of NUG/PDFs and also fuelling the terrorist attacks and assassinations that are occurring in Myanmar. NUG/PDFs on the pretext of revolution are committing wilful killings and murders of unarmed civilians (non-combatants) who do not support their acts of terrorism. Regardless of the various definitions of ‘terrorism’ and ‘acts of terrorism’ in the world, such brutal killings are undeniable acts of terrorism intolerable and unacceptable to any world society and organization. That is the message I want to deliver again to every individual, organization and country that are engaging with the NUG terrorist group.

Majority of the victims were brutally murdered as the hit list of NUG with the reasons for not supporting NLD party, being members of other political parties, informers, village/ward administrators and retired military personnel. Moreover, some victims were killed for not giving extortion money though they are NLD supporters or with other particular causes like personal resentment. Every common person can simply perceive that the above-said causes are not the strong reasons to kill a person or even the whole family including children. Besides the one alleged to be an informer (Dalan), massacring the whole family members of the victim is the unacceptable heinous crimes of terrorism.

Such horrendous incidents are the ones upsetting, saddening and horrifying the bereaved family members and friends, as well as others who saw or heard about them. As the origin of the horrendous incidents, PDF groups are committing such crimes on ground under the instructions and instigations of NUG group. There are plenty of undeniable evidence and records of what they have done. Such evidence are repeatedly informed to international organizations and international police forces, and described in news reports as well so that the world knows about them.

The root cause of the terrorist attacks and premediated killings in Myanmar are the attempts of the former NLD-led government to forcibly seize the State’s power by convening the Hluttaw without solving the problem of vote riggings in 2020 general elections through political and legal approaches. The so-called NUG group is attempting to cause the people and the international community misunderstand the SAC government that is assuming the State’s responsibilities as per the State Constitution and also chose to tread on the path of utter devastation to revolt against the government and also practise the murderous terrorism to provoke terror into general public. Such attitude is spawn from a negative morale of doing destructive things if power is denied.

It is worth to be aware that failing to accept such bitter truth of the root cause, keeping in touch with the NUG group merely for not willing to recognize the SAC government on the pretext of coup d'état is apparently to ignite the flames of terrorism in Myanmar. In such a way of that, they are officially allowed to carry out the acts of terrorism and accordingly, PDF groups become more audacious to commit murders in cold blood.

There are plenty of strong evidences proving that the NUG/PDFs are committing violent crimes of murders intolerable and unacceptable to any society. During a period from 1 February 2021 to 31 January 2023 in Myanmar, NUG/PDF terrorist groups had committed 8,541 bomb attacks, 1,234 arson attacks on public places, buildings, transmission towers, roads and bridges; and their violent killings claimed lives of 5,461 civilians and civil servants in total including 70 Buddhist monks and 2 nuns.

Among the violent acts, the incidents that constitute mass killings, massacres and crimes against humanity are described in the table below. During a period from February 2021 to January 2023, there were 76 incidents of mass killings (over three deaths of family members/people) claiming the lives of 345 unarmed civilians and injuring 73 others. Underage children were also found in the deaths.

The above-mentioned 73 incidents included no common case of individual deaths but the mass killings of over three people who were the hit lists of NUG, their family members and relatives as well. In other words, that is a series of genocide-style killings to get rid of the whole generation of the victim, the so-called Dalan (informer) and his/her family members, spouses, sons and daughters.

To extract some atrocious incidents, a whole family of eight were brutally murdered by PDF terrorists after accusing them of being spies/Dalans in Kyar village, Shwebo township, Sagaing region on 9 December 2021. The victims were U Myint of 67, his sons and relatives: Maung Aung Khiang of 27, Maung Kyaw Htet Aung of 16, Maung Aung Myo Naing of 27, Maung Zin Min Htet of 17, Maung Myo Myint of 20, Maung Zaw Htet Aung of 19 and Maung Pyae Phyo Thu of 17. The terrorists accused victims of being spies/dalans and tied their hands behind the backs. They then forcibly took them to a place near a group of tents in the east of the village, and brutally beat and chopped them to death. Take a deep consideration whether they were actually spies/Dalans.

On 14 January 2022, PDF terrorists using small arms opened fire to a whole family of a house in Waryonkan village, Shwebo township claiming the lives of three women, and injuring seriously three others, a male and two females. House owner U Paw Shwe of 60 was seriously injured with gunshot wounds on lower part of right chest, right calf and right thigh; his wife Daw Lei Lei Win of 42 was also seriously injured with gunshot wounds on her back and left upper thigh, and a bruise on left hip. While one of their sisters, Htar Htar Nwe of 33 got serious gunshot injuries on her left abdomen and back, and a bruise on her forehead, two other sisters were shot dead:  Zar Mon Theint of 23 with headshot and Hnin Win Khaing of 19 with gunshot wounds on her left eye and forearm. 

On 5 June 2022, PDF terrorists recklessly opened fire to a family of eight in a house in Panchi Village of Sagaing Township in Sagaing Region and the merciless shootings killed four family members and injured two others. The victims: U Win Shein of 50, his wife Daw Mya Oo of 45, and their sons Kaung Htet Shein of 22, Paing Htet Shein of 18 died on the spot. Moreover, Sai Htet Shein of 12 and Hnin Yati Shein of 8 got serious injuries while Zan Htet Shein of 15 luckily escaped from their attack because he had been hiding under the bed.  In this incident, three males and one female, totalling four persons were killed while one male and another female, totalling two were injured. The main reason of PDFs to atrociously kill the whole family is that the victims were friendly with departmental officials. Common people are normally engaging with departmental officials. So, take a serious consideration whether they do not even have the opportunity to make friends with the staff, otherwise, whether that is a good reason enough for mass killing of the whole family.

On 21 August 2022, when U Khin Maung Lin, handmade brick-maker and his family members together with their neighbours U Aung Thein Win and U Khin Maung Kyi were watching football match at the house in Zeya Ward of Saw Township in Magway Region.  In the meantime, PDF terrorists arrived at the house and opened fire at them killing six of them on the spot and injuring one after accusing them of being “Dalans/Informers”. The killed victims were U Khin Maung Lin of 61, his wife Daw Yin Ngway of 59, brother U Zaw Lin of 58, daughter-in-law Daw Khin Mar Thet of 36, niece Ma Thet Aye Nyein of 16, neighbours U Aung Thein Win of 60, and U Khin Maung Kyi of 60. Moreover, the terrorists forcibly took a FORLAND brand vehicle, a Hijet car, around five ticals of goldware (current value is under scrutiny), and K5 million in cash. The perpetrators of PDF terrorists attempted to justify the mass killing by claiming that U Aung Lin’s family is earning good income from brick-making business but they did not give the terrorists any penny. This incident proved that the PDFs are the real terrorists who would massacre anybody if they could not provide them money.

        On 14 January 2023, NLD/PDF terrorists brutally killed the whole family of eight living in Nga Hmyaung village of Kanbalu Township in Sagaing Region, accusing them of being Dalan/informers. In their merciless murders, U Kyaw Hlaing of 65, his wife Daw Mya Nyunt of 73 and his son-in law U Myo Win of 43 were killed with cut-throat wounds. Next, his daughters Daw Hnin Mya Khine of 38 with abdominal stab and cut wounds, and Daw Hnin Mya Hlaing of 36 with abdominal stab as well as cut wounds and puncture wounds in the foot were found dead. Additionally, his grand-daughters Ma Su Myat San of 15, Ma Theint Shwe Bon San of 11 and Mg Khant Zayar Myo of 6 were also killed with cut-throat wounds. Is it possible that all family members would be Dalans/informers? Is it possible that such young children would be Dalans/informers? The aforementioned incident should be given careful consideration. All family members were mercilessly killed with cut-throat wounds.

Overviewing such incidents, PDF terrorists, under policy and incitements of the NUG, have atrociously massacred and terrorized those including underage children who differ from their perceptions and do not support them. Under the pretext of the difference in political perceptions, the PDF terrorists are committing the Genocide-like crimes posing a question ‘they actually commit mass killings and crimes against humanity, don’t they?’

Certain countries and international organizations, having provided financial support to and politically engaging directly or indirectly with NUG/PDFs that commit such brutal crimes, should take the above-mentioned question into serious consideration. I hereby reveal that the attempts to mount one-sided pressures on the government in office by concealing violent acts of NUG/PDF on media and in international arena with the use of financial power and technology are simply the insincere political tricks.
