Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing Inspects Work Processes of Global Earth Agro & Aqua Industry Public Co., Ltd in Pantanaw Township

The Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by officials, inspected the work processes of Global Earth Agro & Aqua Industry Public Co., Ltd in Pantanaw Township of Ayeyawady Region on 6 February.

The Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister and party heard the reports on the implementation of fish farming-based industrial business, operations of smart hatchery and nursery process, trial operations of smart grow-out farm, generation of electricity for the industries by installing the rice husks fired Biomass Power Plant as well as production of fertilizers and agricultural supplements presented by the Chairman of Global Earth Agro & Aqua Industry Public Co., Ltd U Htay Myint and officials of relevant sectors.

After hearing the reports, the Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister stressed the following points:

  • The government adopted two national objectives: the prosperity of the nation and food sufficiency. Arrangements are being made to ensure the food sufficiency as the second objective.
  • Systematic fish farming will contribute to sufficiency of food, and must also be implemented across the nation.
  • Livestock farm contributes much to the development of the nation. Regarding the businesses, the government has guaranteed to offer assistance to businesses and the economy must be boosted by concerted efforts.
  • In the coming academic year, basic education high schools in 50 districts will conduct agriculture, livestock and technological courses for the students.
  • The export of livestock products can earn foreign exchange for the nation.  Manufacturing and exporting value-added products rather than raw materials will yield more benefits.

Afterwards, the Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister planted commemorative Gangaw (Mesua ferrea) plant and the officials planted the commemorative plants respectively. The Senior General and party looked round the display of Myanmar species fingerlings and asked the officials concerned what they wanted to know.

Continuously, the Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister and party observed the work process of the Smart Hatchery and Nursery, construction of the rice husks fired biomass power plant, construction of a biomass power plant that can generate electricity extensively to the whole country, construction of the feedstuff factory, farming of fish in circular tanks and earthen farms, feeding in modern technology, solar-power pumping process, fish netting, marine product unit, display of advanced fish products for international markets, and construction of the cold storage where they were  conducted round by the chairman and officials of Global Earth Agro & Aqua Industry Public Co., Ltd.

Currently in the project, there are 120,000 breeders that can produce 4 million fingerlings daily. There are 25 million fingerlings in stock and about 25 million fish. Upon completion of the project, the project will contribute to the development of the marine product business of Myanmar and increase of per capita income of the local people. The project will create jobs for a large number of people and benefit national economy.
