Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Celebrates 75th National Day

The celebration of the 75th National Day of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka was held at Pan Pacific Hotel in Yangon on 3 February. Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko and wife, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Joyasingbe Mudhiyan selage Janaka Priyantha Bandara and wife, Russian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Nikolay LisTopaDov and officials lit candles to commemorate the 75th National Day of Democratic Socialist the Republic of Sri Lanka.

Then, the Sri Lankan Ambassador and Union Minister greeted each other and gave gifts. Next, the Sri Lankan Ambassador and his wife served dinner for attendees. The traditional cultural troupe from Sri Lanka performed cultural dances.

Ambassadors from foreign embassies in Yangon, charge d’affaires of embassies, representatives of the United Nations and invitees attended the celebration, it is reported.
