The opening ceremony of Buddha Puzaniya Festival of Mann Shwe Sat Taw Yar Parda Pagoda, Minbu (Saku) township was held on 25 January. The ceremony was attended by Padarna Naryaka State Sangha Central Services Sayardaw Badanta Nyarnika from Maharwithuta Yarma Monastery in No(2) ward, Minbu township along with region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, Commander of Central Command, ministers of region government, departmental officials, religious associations, invitees and locals.
Special bridge was opened by the Central Command Commander and officials while the special archway by Padarna Naryaka State Sangha Central Services Sayardaw Badanta Nyarnika from Maharwithuta Yarma Monastery and region Chief Minister by cutting the ribbons respectively. The special bridge was built under the guidance of the State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister so as to ensure the people of pilgrims can easily go to the pagoda.
Then the ceremonies of offering golden leaves (golden foil papers) to Auk Sat Taw Ya Parda Pagoda (lower footprint) and Ahtet Sat Taw Ya Parda Pagoda (upper footprint) were held and Sangas then sprinkled waters and applied golden leaves (golden foil papers) to the Buddha Parda footprints.
The Buddha Puzaniya Festival of Mann Shwe Sat Taw Yar Parda Pagoda will be held for 83 days from 25 January to 17 April, it is reported.
