Some 10 members of PDF terrorist group set fire to the Kyaukphu railway station near Kyaukphu village in Myaing Township, Magway Region on 18 January. Due to their arson attack, one building with zinc-roofing, brick-partition and brick-floor, one zinc-roofing, brick-partition and brick-floor family housing for civil servants and one water pump were destroyed in fire.
Terrorists having political extremism have been dstroying non-military targets of state-owned buildings, privately owned ones and residential houses. In addition to those acts, they are carrying out motiveless bomb attacks on roads and bridges. Due to the sabotages of the terrorists, the entire population feel disgust at and deep hatred for them.
It is reported that local security personnel are pursuing necessary security actions to identify and arrest the terrorists who set fire to the Kyaukphu railway station.
