SAC Members and Union Ministers Meet Religious Leaders, People’s Militia Leaders and Peace Groups in Kayah State

The meeting between State Administration Council members, Union Ministers, religious leaders, people’s militia leaders and peace groups in Kayah State was held at the meeting room of the government office of Kayah State on 15 January.

SAC members Saw Daniel, U Sai Lon Seng and U Shwe Kyein, Union Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and U Saw Tun Aung Myint, Chief Minister of Kayah State, Commander of the Eastern Command and leaders of all religions, leaders of people’s militia troops (local), peace groups, leaders of border guard forces attended the meeting.

First, SAC member Saw Daniel said that it will be necessary to bring peace together in the state, local development activities cannot be carried out if there is no peace, it is necessary for the people of wards and villages to participate in economic, social, health activities in the state to be smooth and good.

The religious leaders from interfaith group in Kayah State, people’s militia leaders and peace organizations reported on implementations in the respective sectors and the needs. Then, SAC members explained the current situations and gave New Year commemorative gifts and cash assistance to them.

State Administration Council members, Union Ministers and Chief Minister of Kayah State went to the house of an innocent man who was brutally killed and Loikaw public hospital where innocent students and civilians receiving medical treatment by the heavy weapons attack of KNPP and PDF terrorists on 15 January. They comforted them and provided cash assistance to them.
