KNPP and PDF Terrorists Launch Heavy Weapon Attacks on State Hall Where Opening Ceremony of Archway to Commemorate the 71st Anniversary of Kayah State Day Held

On 15 January, while the opening ceremony of the archway to commemorate the 71st Anniversary of Kayah State Day was being held in front of the State Hall, KNPP and PDF terrorists brutally launched heavy weapon attacks targeting on the State Hall. The heavy weapon shells fell and exploded near the State Hall and in residential areas claiming a life of a male innocent civilian while some members of security force, six students, innocent people of one male and one female were injured.

With an aim to disrupt the State’s peace and stability, terrorist groups of political extremism are committing acts of terrorism such as launching heavy/small weapons attacks on non-military targets of towns and villages where non-combatant of innocent civilians live, carrying out remote-mine attacks on vehicles running on roads and blowing up and destroying roads and bridges.

The terrorists intentionally launched the inhumane attack on the ceremony pertaining to the indigenous people of the state. As their such inhumane attack on non-military target of the crowded place might cause heavy casualties, the locals are disgusted by the terrorists and their acts of terrorism.
