The so-called PDF terrorists, who are not willing to see the peaceful learning of schoolchildren, are committing the bomb and arson attacks on schools in some townships. Their attacks are as follows:
· Terrorists, who do not want to see the learning of schoolchildren, set fire to a primary school constructed with the fund contributed by local people located in the Kangon village of Myaungmya township in Ayawady region on 7 January. Due to the arson attack, the whole (80ft in length, 25ft in width , 12ft in height) primary school building was burned down.
· Terrorists placed a barrel of coal tar surrounded by seven bottles pasted with anti-government texts at the southern entrance of the Myanmar Institute of Information Technology (MITT) University in Chanmyatharzi township of Mandalay region on 7 January. The barrel of coal tar exploded during having checked but no casualty and damage were reported.
· An IED, which was laid under the ground in the security gate at the entrance of the Basic Education High School (BEHS) in the Kim Mon Chaung village of Mon state, exploded on 6 January. Due to the explosion, two security forces members who were undertaking security measures for schoolchildren near the gate and Ma Phyu Phyu Htwe, 27, who lives in the Kim Mon Chaung village, got minor shrapnel wounds. Once the security forces checked the area, they spotted an unexploded homemade mine, deactivated it and seized it.
· On 6 January, two terrorists threw two IEDs in the campus of BEHS in Taingma village of Myaung township of Mayway region and ran away. One of the IEDs exploded near the school building called Myonyun Khantee and another unexploded one was found near the concrete wall of the school. The unexploded IED was then cleared by demolition.
· The entry doors of BEHS in Pans Swar village of Myaing township of Magway region was blown up and destroyed by terrorists using a homemade mine on 5 January.
The so-called PDF terrorists are accelerating the acts of terrorism as per their intention of utter devastation. Moreover, they are also recklessly doing the sabotages with various intentions to destroy the peaceful learning of the students who are the future of the State as well as to inflict casualties to the local people living in peace.
Security forces continue taking necessary measures to identify and arrest the perpetrators of terrorists who have committed the terrorist acts such as bombing attacks and arson attacks on the schools in the above-mentioned incidents.
- Some Basic Education Schools in the townships of Myaungmya, Chanmyathazi, Myaung and Kyaikto were blown up and burnt down by terrorists leaving some injured and buildings damaged.
