Union Minister for Border Affairs and Union Minister for Immigration and Population separately received H.E. Mr. Harishchandra Ghimire, Ambassador of Nepal to Myanmar in Nay Pyi Taw.
- On 26 December, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung cordially discussed with Ambassador of Nepal to Myanmar about issues related to stability, peace and development in border areas, the development of human resources and the progress of the socioeconomic development of ethnic people in border areas, the implementation of tourism development and cooperation between the two countries.
- On 27 December, Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing cordially discussed with Ambassador of Nepal to Myanmar about issues related to good bilateral relations between Myanmar and Nepal, visa-free entry and exit, and the status of being able to provide necessary assistance to Nepali citizens who have been in Myanmar and the efforts to communicate with each other on immigration issues.
The meetings were also attended by Deputy Ministers for Border Affairs, the permanent secretary, the director-general and officials from Ministry of Immigration and Population.
