Efforts Made to Increase Export Volume in Fiscal Year of 2022-2023

During the tenure of State Administration Council Government, efforts are being made to increase the export volume via border trade posts and regular trade routes. Within eight and a half-month period, from 1st April to 16th December in this fiscal year, US$ 11,755.81 million were earned from the following export of products:

  • US$ 2,561.724 million were earned from the export of agro-products.
  • US$ 18.409 million were earned from the export of animal products.
  • US$ 520.153 million were earned from the export of aquatic products.
  • US$ 215.623 million were earned from the export of mineral products.
  • US$ 106.851 million were earned from the export of forestry products.
  • US$ 7,999.699 million were earned from the export of CMP products.
  • US$ 333.351 million were earned from the export of other products.

Within eight-month period, from April to November in this fiscal year, foreign investment in Myanmar rose by around US$ 1.5 billion. It included a total of 58 industries: two agricultural industries, one mineral industry, 41 manufacturing industries, 10 energy industries, one hotel and tourism industry, one housing estate industries and two service industries. It is reported that 566 cargo ships from international shipping lines docked at the ports in Yangon within 11-month period in 2022.
