The meeting between Union Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Union Minister U Ko Ko Hlaing of the Ministry of International Cooperation, and the members of the Senior Advisory Board and the Executive Board of the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS) was held at the meeting hall of the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies in Yangon on 23 December. During the event, Union Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Union Minister U Ko Ko Hlaing of the Ministry of International Cooperation discussed the following points:
- The implementations of the political objectives and the Road Map defined by the State Administration Council.
- The responses to the organizations that interfere in the internal affairs of a Sovereign State for the political purpose, and Myanmar’s implementations on ASEAN five-point consensus.
- The MISIS to contribute to the State through the effective use of track 1.5 Diplomacy and track II Diplomacy in view of assisting the position, policy and endeavours of the Government not only in the domestic but also in the regional and international arenas.
Present at the meeting were the chairman of the MISIS, members of the Senior Advisory Board and the Executive Board, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Director-General of the Department of Strategic Studies and Training as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
