Acting on the information tip by local people who don’t want terrorism, security force members found a suspect six-wheeler Dyna car near Saw Taw village, Mine Pyin village tract, Hopong township of Shan state (south). The car was from Sanin village of Pinlong township heading to Pin Phit village of Yatsauk township. Although security forces members attempted to halt the car, it kept driving. As the security force members chased the car, the terrorists left the car and fled away.
When the security force members made a thorough search on the car, they found and seized 499 Type-81 rifles, 498 its magazines and other related items secretly carried by PDF terrorists for the purposes of terrorism.
Under the instructions of NUG and CRPH, the PDF terrorists are carrying out the acts of terrorism such as abducting and killing Buddhist monks, civil servants and national people, collection of extortion money as well as blowing up the State-owned buildings and public roads and bridges. Although they are carrying and distributing the weapons and ammunitions required to commit such acts via unlawful means, security force members managed to stop their attempts thanks to the tip-offs by people who do not want the terrorism.
Regarding the seizure of the weapons and ammunition, necessary measures will be taken in line with rules and regulations, it is reported.
